About This Project
When I met Helle and Grant, I was still designing bathrooms and was asked to do their three rooms. A couple years later, they made contact and asked if I would help design their interior; to which I said yes as our design tastes were so similar and streamlined.
The brief included a new room-centralised woodburning stove fireplace and aperture-centred when viewed from the the kitchen island. The family snug room had to retain its hygge whilst the rest of the property received a complete overhaul, replastering and new interior architectural detailing. Windows were fitted with made to measure blinds and curtains a new bespoke oak staircase was designed replace the old. Ambient, task and other lighting/electrics plans were created to balance practicality and aesthetics.

Working alongside a team of trusted building contractors the existing interiors were stripped back and designed with meticulous attention to detailing. Cornicing and architraves were specifically selected to mimic the fireplace surround design. Despite each room having it's own colour scheme, there was a natural but deliberate flow and connectivity from one space into another.
