About This Project
Having previously designed two bathrooms, Nicola asked me to manage the ground floor design conversion of her house. By keeping part of one of the structural walls and reconfiguring, this became the natural open space zoning divide, which housed a recessed television. Furnished with contemporary furniture, lighting, wallpaper and curtains the interior presented as modern, warm and homely. We also added a bit of curb appeal with the new cedar cladded porch, bespoke fenestrations and storage.
I was later commissioned to design a garden building which functioned as a sports bar and hangout pad for her teenage boys. The slick cedar-metal exterior perfectly complimented the rugged industrial interior with its pool table, darts board and bar.
